Photoshop Phriday Phreakin' Phunny

The folks over at Something Awful are usually hilarious, but their "Photoshop Phridays" often leave something to be desired. This week's makes up for all the bad puns and lousy artwork of the past few weeks. All of these are hysterical, if a bit wrong.

Chav Scum!

I am obsessed with Chavs, probably because I'm an unabashed Anglophile and always have been. For anyone who doesn't know, "chav" describes what we Americans would call white trash. That's about as close as I can get to translating it. Since we don't have much of a class system, it's not quite the same thing but you get the idea. I love the chav phenomenon so much I even ordered the guidebook to all things chav.

Anyway, chavs are obsessed with bling, designer clothes and not much else. The Beckhams are considered the ruling chavs because of their vulgar displays of wealth. The calling card of a chav is a Burberry baseball cap and some kind of hoodie. The UK is so upset about this new ruling class that some shopping areas have actually banned these items. That seems so tame to me - probably because we can't even keep guns away from public areas, much less hoodies.

Bruce Campbell vs. MPAA

I didn't think it was possible to love Bruce Campbell more than I already do, until I read what he had to say about the MPAA.

Living in DC, I get my fill of asshat parkers - usually SUV drivers who try to pull into tiny spaces.
I park like an idiot would at least give a bit of catharsis over lousing parking jobs.

Oasis are bastards

Don't really give a damn about their music, but I love how these guys are just unabashed assholes. I'll love Liam Gallagher forever just for his hatred of Coldplay and Chris Martin's "gawky bird," as he called Martin's wife Gwynnie.
